Liveaboard, or simply called Diving Safari, stands for a few days of living and having fun on a boat, with which you cruise between different dive destinations, which are too far out for normal daytrips, and go for diving from this boat.
|
These boats specially built for this purpose are furnished
with sleeping cabins ( twin-or doublebed ), showers, toilets, living and
dining rooms. Equiped for diving activities they have a diving platform,
brackets for the tanks and wet areas for dressing and preparing. For the
refilling of the tanks they have silent compressors.
|
All boats fulfill the International Safety Standarts and are
equipped with livejackets, flare guns, fire extinguisher, radio, GPS and
depthsonar, Oxygen Unit and staff are trained on Medic First Aid, and can
organise the transfer to the nearest deco- chamber if necessary.
|
The boats are navigated by very experienced captains who know very well all the divesites around. The rest of the crew consists of a deckman, a machinist, the cook ( the most important man on board ), a multilingual guide who is responsible for the schedule on board and divemasterS who make a safe and successful diving possible. All together
they will give you an unforgettable adventure. Before each dive there will be a comprehensive briefing, so listen carefully.

Things to be aware of
|
As you heard before the sun will burn more on the sea than
on land, so do not expose your skin too long to the sun. Because you loose
water by diving ( dehydration ) and sweat a lot by sun- bathing it is
important to drink a lot, mainly water and less coffee and alcohol ( both
deprieves additional water from the body which you first will feel in fatigue
and headache ), to avoid problems drink a lot of water regularly!
|
| Also take care when the air- condition is set too cold, it is easy to catch a cold and then diving is gone, and also avoid standing in the draught to avoid ear- infections (important to dry the ears after diving ). |
How to behave ?
|
Friendly, helpful and considerate, on board we all sit in
the same boat and the community is what counts. Together there is more fun.
While diving look for ample buoyancy, the divesites belong to the top ten
divedestinations in the world and are protected by the mark of the national
parks.
|
It is our goal to preserve them, so do not crash anything,
do not touch and take with anything. It is a wonderful idea to make pictures,
but watch your boyancy. Do not forget that we are in tropical waters, this
means there are poisonous animals and corals present. Our guide will mention
them by the briefing. There are no agressive animals around, only some curious
ones. If we behave and preserve the environment and there is have nothing to
fear and the dives will become an unforgettable adventure.
